Pam Waston Korbel
Sales Manager, Marketing Leader, Growth Advisor
An expert on leadership in fast-growth businesses, Pam Watson Korbel
demonstrates high capabilities to build revenue and profits through her
sales management and marketing experience. In two different firms, she
has overseen profitable growth once achieving 500% growth in revenue
over four years and another company 1500% growth in eight years.
She maintains the professional advisory firm SmartGrowth, Inc., through
which she provides services as a contract sales manager and interim chief
marketing officer.
She was a finalist for the Entrepreneur of the Year Award through Inc.
Magazine and has also worked in strategic and sales positions
in Fortune 200 and Inc. 500 companies.
Pam is a much sought after board member for businesses and non-profit organizations.
She has chaired the Governance/Nominating Committee for one corporate board
and serves on three non-profit boards.
She is a member of the Business Marketing Association, the National Association
of Corporate Directors and is past president of the Denver Chapter of the
National Association of Women Business Owners.
Pam has been recognized for her expertise and contributions to the business
community by the Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce, National Association
of Women Business Owners, and US Small Business Administration.
In 2005 she received the Martin Luther King Award for Business Social Responsibility
for Colorado, and in 2004 the David E. Bailey Award for Small Business
Advocacy.
Pam’s mentoring extends as well to her volunteer work. A life-long
Girl Scout, she founded the Demeter Scholarship Foundation for Gold Award
Girl Scouts. While a resident of San Diego, she co-founded the Roads
to Self-Employment Program, which helps women to reduce their dependence
upon welfare by becoming entrepreneurs. She is also active with the Women’s
Bean Project and the Spread the Warmth Campaign.
